TivoliVredenburg, the iconic cultural center of Utrecht, is being revitalized with the renovation of the Great Hall and the new entrance on Vredenburgplein. This project blends the restoration of historic elements with modern enhancements, including new foyers and an inviting facade. With a strong focus on sustainability, the hall is set to become a radiant centerpiece of the city once again.

Renewed public spaces
Within the renewed public areas, the existing qualities have been combined with new interventions. Our scope of work included the restoration design for the characteristic ceiling and supervising the refurbishment of the original Hertzberger furniture.
Mae Engelgeer designed a textile wall that adds texture to the space. DeMunnik-deJong-steinhauser designed the new interior elements, such as the bar, which seamlessly complements the existing building despite its contemporary character.
