"The world around us is often classified in polarities. The advantage of clear opposites is that they are unambiguous and easy to understand. ln architecture there is a clear distinction between modernism and postmodernism. Here it is assumed that there is an unambiguous succession of the modernist time to the postmodernist time. ln my view, these concepts are not fitting. They are container concepts that are too big. in which several, very distinguishable movements are located."
